Probiotics & Primadophilus

   NWprimadphiluschildren Primadophilus for Children is especially designed for children 5 years of age and under. It contains specially selected strains of freeze-dried microorganisms in a neutral base. Under normal conditions, trillions of bacteria exist in the intestines. As part of the body's defenses they help maintain good health by preventing harmful microorganisms from infiltrating the body. Medications taken to combat illness or infection can reduce the number of beneficial bacteria as an unwanted side effect. The Chlorine in the tap water also causes considerable damage to these useful flora. Using the "PUR" or some other filters that contain the charcoal may eliminate the chlorine from your drinking water. It is kept refrigerated throughout the manufacturing process and should be kept in the refrigerated after you purchase it.

Daily Maintenance Dosage:  

The powder can be mixed with the formula, milk, juice or solids

 

Infants 0-1month Small pinch of powder Mix with formula
Infant 1month - 1 yr 1/4 tsp once a day Mix with milk/solids
Child 1 yr - 2 yr 1/2 tsp once a day Mix with milk/solids
Child 2 yr - 6 yr 1 level tsp once a day Mix with milk/solids
Child 6 yr - Adult 2 level tsp once day Mix with milk/solids

 

During and After Antibiotics:

As above three times a day for 2 - 4 weeks.

 

The powder can also be used to treat thrush in babies by mixing 1/4 tsp in each bottle for 2 week period.  For mothers with vaginal thrush, we carry adult tablets. (You take 1 tablet 3 times a day by mouth.)

Primary Ingredients:
Bifidobacterium longum; Lactobacillus acidophilus
Other Ingredients: Cellulose, Citric Acid, Magnesium Stearate, Maltodextrin, Natural Orange Flavor, Sorbitol, Sugar,
Turmeric, vanilla flavor, Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

These are food supplements and not FDA approved medications.  However it is very safe because these are naturally occurring organisms in the children's bodies.
Primadophilus Chewable Table

Description: Designed specifically with children age 2-12  in mind,  Primadophilus for Kids chewable tablets contain a special blend of Bifid bacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus and L rhamnosus.

Usage: Each great tasting orange tablet is an easy way to ensure that your child is getting the necessary friendly flora to maintain a healthy balance in the intestines.  To maintain the healthy balance, add Primadophilus for Kids chewable tablets to your child's daily health regimen.

Recommended Daily Dosage: Take 1 - 2 tablets ( 1 billion bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus microorganisms) per day as maintenance. This would help fight recurring ear infections and Bronchitis.  During and after  antibiotic course you need to give 1- 2 tablet 3 times a day for 2-4 weeks.
